Disclose all the Terms of the secret Vatican/CCP Deal

A reckoning has arrived for the Bergoglio Vatican and their evil compatriots in the China Communist Party. 

This was predictable. The preposterous secret deal between the Vatican and the CCP signed in 2018 and renewed in 2020 wreaked havoc throughout Christians and Catholics in  China. 

Five years later, the Bergoglio Vatican steadfastly refuses to divulge the deal’s secret terms in violation of international treaty law. Despite world wide condemnation of the secret deal by the human rights community, the Vatican remains complicity silent. 

However, today’s shocking arrest of 90 year old retired Hong Kong Cardinal Joseph Zen by the Hong Kong national security police for “colluding  with foreign forces” dramatically raises the stakes.  This illegal and brazen violation of religious freedom and human rights by the CCP demands an immediate condemnation by Bergoglio. After all, Zen, as Cardinal, is a prince of the Church. His arrest should be met with the strongest and most vociferous condemnation by the Vatican. The Vatican issued a wimpy and shameful press statement:

“The Holy See has learned with concern the news of the arrest of Cardinal Zen and is following the development of the situation with extreme attention.”

The Gig is Up. Bergoglio’s lame political power play has failed miserably. He’s been willingly used and abused by CCP. President Xi was handed and held the winning hand throughout this secret pact with Bergoglio. The illegal arrest of a Cardinal by the CCP, Bergoglio’s secret deal partner, is a slap in the face to the Vatican and all Catholics. Bergoglio should have read Trump’s Art of the Deal.

Now it is time to play hard ball. Bergoglio owes it to the 1.3 billion Catholics, to the underground Church in China, and to the institutional Church, to disclose the terms of his surreptitious deal with the CCP. 

Cardinal Zen knew that this this secret deal would be catastrophic failure for the Chinese Catholic Church. He accurately labeled the secret deal an “ incredible betrayal” , a surrender, and a “suicide pact.”  Cardinal Zen begged Bergoglio not to sign the deal. Bergoglio ignored Zen.

Now that President Xi has steam rolled the underground Catholic and Christian Church in mainland China, he turns his attention to the great Hong Kong Catholic Church. Since 2019, Xi has been cracking down on religious freedom and free speech throughout Hong Kong. 

The Catholic Church and its religious and lay leaders played a critical role in the 2019 Hong Kong freedom protests. Its leaders, Catholics Jimmy Lai and Agnes Chow were tried and jailed for organizing these protests. 

Not surprisingly, Pope Francis refused to condemn the CCP brutal crackdown on the Catholic led Hong Kong freedom movement.

His silence and compliance breeds contempt for the Catholic Church by President Xi, who instinctively sniffs out cowardice and weakness. Not surprisingly, Xi must marginalize the last powerful voice for religious freedom in Hong Kong, Joseph Cardinal Zen.  

Zen knew this day would come. He also understood that the Vatican would not have his back or that of the Hong Kong Catholic Church. Surely, Zen’s warning was prescient with the ongoing persecution of Catholic priests, bishops, and laity throughout China, coupled with the CCP destruction of  Christian churches and places of worship. Bergoglio’s secret deal, as predicted, provided the CCP with license to destroy the formidable underground Catholic and Christian Churches in China. As Cardinal Zen predicted,

“now the CCP can do anything.”

With Jorge Bergoglio in bad health and facing eternal judgment, the time is now for him to right the barque of Peter. 

~The Vatican must immediately condemn this illegal arrest of Zen in the strongest of terms.

~The Vatican must immediately release the details of the secret China-Vatican deal.

~The Vatican must immediately terminate the Vatican-China deal in protest over Zen’s arrest. 

~The Vatican must immediately demand the release of all Catholic priests, bishops and laity who have been arrested, imprisoned, in concentration camps by the CCP.

~The Vatican must demand the restoration of all underground Catholic and Christian places of worship.

~The Vatican must lead and seek global condemnation and rescission of China’s draconian law prohibiting any child under the age of 18 to practice religion. 

This sordid chapter of the Bergoglio papacy must be corrected forthwith. The pontiff was way out of his league and the proof is in the utter destruction of religion in China that followed the secret Vatican deal. 

He failed to follow the cautionary tale in The Art of the Deal:

“The worst thing you can possibly do in a deal is seem desperate to make it. That makes the other guy smell blood, and then you’re dead.”
